The Download
In March 2013, Thomas "Scooter" Smith woke at 3:00 AM as if someone had called his name. Wide awake. Mind completely clear. He reached for a notepad and started writing.
"It wasn't like a dream," he says. "It was like I had just downloaded a plan — the name, the logo, the meaning, the brand. It was all there."
He wrote through the rest of the night. By morning, Scorpius Alchemist existed — not as a business plan, but as a fully-formed vision waiting to be built.
The Name
Scorpius
Derived from the astrological sign of Scorpio. Scooter is a Scorpio — born under the sign of transformation, depth, and intensity. The Arizona desert, where the brand was born, is scorpion country.
Alchemist
"One who transforms something ordinary into something special, unique, and valuable." That is the mission — to take raw materials and craft them into something that carries meaning, that represents who you are without a single word.
The Logo — Every Detail Earned
The Scorpius Gear logo isn't decoration. Every element was placed with intention.
Para-Military Insignia
Scooter's grandfather, Alex James Pritchard, served 26 years in the United States Marine Corps Force Recon. The para-military design element in the logo is a permanent tribute to his service, his sacrifice, and his legacy. It's the foundation of everything.
The Scorpion
Scorpio born. Arizona raised. The scorpion is Scooter's personal symbol — a creature known for surviving harsh environments, for protecting what it loves, and for transforming darkness into strength.
The Stars
Born in Texas. The stars represent where he came from — roots that don't move even when the road does.
The Helmet
A lifelong love of warrior cultures — Gladiators, Vikings, Spartans. People who fought for something larger than themselves. The helmet is the shield of the person who wears Scorpius Gear.
