His Story
In March of 2021, Scott Smith — beloved father, brother, son, and friend — was taken from his family and community in the most tragic of circumstances. Scott was murdered by his ex-wife, becoming one of the countless victims of domestic violence that claim lives across this country every day.
Scott was the brother of Thomas “Scooter” Smith, co-founder and co-owner of Scorpius Gear. His loss shook the foundation of the Scorpius family and ignited a commitment that has since become central to who we are: standing up for those who can't, and honoring those we've lost.
Scott left behind people who loved him deeply — a community that gathered to remember him and a family that carries him every day. His memory drives the mission behind Scott's Honor, and his name will always be part of what Scorpius Gear stands for.

About Scott's Honor
Scott's Honor is Scorpius Gear's local charitable initiative dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic violence and the families of victims. Founded in Scott's memory, it exists to ensure that no family has to grieve alone and that survivors find the resources, support, and community they need to rebuild.
A portion of proceeds from select Scorpius Gear products directly supports Scott's Honor and our partner organizations working to end domestic violence in Arizona and beyond.

The Scorpius logo was built to honor two veterans — Alex James Pritchard, 26-year Force Recon Marine, and Jason Smith of the Air Force. We partner with local veteran organizations and direct a share of proceeds from military-themed designs toward family support programs.
